Raiders Trade for Carson Palmer (TEST, TEST, TEST, DRAFT, DRAFT,DRAFT)

(OAKLAND) — The Oakland Raiders got the best possible quarterback available on the trading market on Tuesday, trading for Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer. The move came in reaction to quarterback Jason Campbell suffering a broken collarbone in Sundays win over the Browns.

Palmer has been away from football action for six weeks refusing to play for the Bengals and asking them to trade him. Bengals Owner Mike Brown held tight but jumped on the trade after the Raiders offered their 2012 first-round draft pick and second-rounder in 2013.

Its been a whirlwind and I understand what is expected of me. Ive played in this league for eight years, I know what its about. I know what playing quarterbacks about in this league, its about winning, said Palmer.

His Former Coach, Marvin Lewis wished him well in Oakland, Carsons had a great career, a very good career here. He and I started here together and he was able to be apart of winning two division championships here and a chance to go back to work, I know hell be excited about this.

Raiders Head Coach Hue Jackson would not tip his hand if Palmer would start Sunday at home against the Kansas City Chiefs.
