Just a heads up that this is the time of the year that the postal service falls behind.

Please alow a few extra days for Priority Mail and up to a week extra for First Class Mail (2oz UV epoxy that ships free).

Due to changes in the postal system we no longer expedite order shipping.

All normal orders ship by Priority mail. No overnight or 2 day shipping.

The only exceptions are UltraDome IIs ship by Fedex Ground, and 2oz epoxy ships by First class mail

Its getting that time of year again when the weather gets a bit hot.

Keep your epoxy happy by keeping it in a cool dry place.

It likes it best below 65f and above 40f. To get the longest life store between 60f-40f

Long storage at higher temperatures can make your epoxy gel or darken.

Because of popular demand we now list 1 gallon refills

online. No more need to email for special ordering.

After years of testing products to allow users to dome ink-jet prints with our epoxy we finally came across a viable solution.

We have tested a clear vinyl adhesive sheet that our epoxy adheres to very well. The vinyl is now available on our products / supplies page.

There is also a video tutorail for it on our tips page.

Our new site is carries epoxy and supplies tailored just for epoxy jewelry makers.

Epoxy doming is the addition of a glass like shell to a decorated item. This could be anything from labels printed on an ink jet printer to lapel pins made from metal. The doming process depends on surface tension to form a bubble of epoxy on item being decorated without going off the edge of the item. The epoxy is then exposed to low intensity ultra violet light which initiates a chemical reaction that causes the epoxy to harden.

Epoxy doming is commonly used for items like lapel pins, name badges and key chains. Epoxy domed labels are also widely used on appliances, automobiles, computers, stereo equipment and such. For many more ideas on how to use domed items visit the tips section, and keep checking back as I will be adding to this section on an ongoing basis.

Please be advised that we do not support the use of our doming system on ink jet paper products or regular ink jet printouts. This product was designed for dye sublimation and we also have customers that use it with resin printers and some color laser printers and engravers. While it is possible to use it on some ink jet papers and inks we have found in our testing that there are very few that work due to chemical reactions between inks, paper coatings and the UV epoxy. For this reason we will not be able to support its use on these products.

Until recently the equipment required to create epoxy domed items was very expensive and was only feasible on large scale jobs. Due to setup costs and product waste anything under 500 pieces was considered to small an order to be worth while, many companies had minimum orders in the thousands. Thanks to new low intensity cure epoxies you only need an inexpensive low intensity UV light source to be able to create the same products that only the big boys could a few years ago. That coupled with innovations that simplify application of the epoxy have brought it to the small scale factor that makes it feasible to do small runs. This opens up a market for short run items that was not previously possible.

I started doming items a few years ago. I started with two part mix doming kits and had limited success. I kept searching for something better when I ran across UV curable epoxies made for doming. These new epoxies looked like the perfect product except the UV ovens available for curing started at $3,000.00 and up. I then found a source for an epoxy that would cure using low intensity UV light, basically a black light. This was great! I bought some and was able to make small runs with good success. However I still ended up spending over $1,000.00 on used dispensing equipment that was not really suited to short run jobs, it was wasteful, messy and required an in house air system to push the epoxy out of a syringe. I used this for about a year, but I was always looking to make it better, less expensive and simpler.

I got rid of one computer in my office and was left with an old keyboard drawer. The kind that you place your computer or monitor on and your keyboard slides in and out in a drawer. I started looking at the drawer and decided to see if I could attach some UV lights inside and make a much better light source for curing the epoxy. It worked out great, lots of room, brought the epoxy to within one inch of the UV bulbs (recommended curing distance) and was very easy to use since it slid in and out.

About six months after making the UV oven, I attended a small get together with other sublimation decorators to give a demo of epoxy doming. At the demonstration I got a lot of questions and interest in my home made UV oven, many asked if I had considered marketing it. Well to make a long story short I have now started producing the ovens for sale but I felt that all that I learned about storing epoxy, use, dispensing and supplies needed would be better packaged as a kit. So I bring you the UltraDome kit. This kit contains everything you need to get started in doming your products.

Well the UltraDome kits have been out for a few years now. I keep getting requests for a lower cost solution. Even though the original UltraDome kit was about half the price of its nearest competitor I felt that it could be improved upon. Customers kept stressing that functionality was a priority over looks. This started my search and R&D work on a less expensive but functional kit. I also decided that not everyone needs all of the supplies that were originally included in the kit. Because of this I have put together several options, You pick your light source and then pick the supply kit that fits your use and budget.

In the end, UltraDome is the most cost effective way to get into Epoxy Doming. Get yours today!!

If you have a good idea or are creative with Photoshop please do drop into our Map Creation Forum and help us create a map.

When you play a classic Deathmatch game you win by taking a risk and using strategy to eliminate all your opponents from each territory on the board. When you play a game with Capitals you need only conquer an opponents Capital to defeat them and automatically take all their territories. You can risk your troops by attacking your enemys Capital or use them instead to defend your own. For faster games of risk try the Domination gametype where you only need to conquer a majority of the territories on the map to win, or the Assassination gametype where you have to kill only one specific target.

You can select Fixed for the card turn in value and receive 8 troops per set or select Increasing in which case each set is worth more troops than the last. For end of turn Fortifications you can choose between Adjacent, Chained, or Unlimited. In a game with the Fog of War option enabled you are unable to see your opponents territories unless they are next to a territory you own. You cant see which players own the other territories. One strategy is to deceive your opponents by using small amounts of troops to defend large areas to make them think you do not actually own the area. The other players cant see how many troops you gain each turn. Its a risk, but it can pay off.

Weekend Project DIY Personalized Dog Tags

**Due to popular demand, I now sell these in myEtsy shop, for those that are more do it for me. 🙂  ***

Oh, dont be fooled. By dog tags, I mean REAL dog tags that my doggies are now wearing. One of the perks of running my own Etsy shop is having the tools on-hand to do projects like this. BUT, if youre a crafty person, the tools required to stamp something are pretty handy (and fun!) to have. Plus, personalized dog tags like this can costmorethan just buying the tools and doing it yourself. So, I say just do it yourself and then you have the tools AND the tags for the same price. Just sayin

Metal stamping block (Michaels)

Rubber stamping block (Michaels)

3mm letter stamps, or whatever size youd like (Michaels/Etsy/Ebay)

Doming block, if youd like to dome your discs (Michaels)

Design stamps (Michaels/Ebay)

1 & 3/4 Raw brass discs (Monsters Layeror Ebay)

Ball pein hammer, if you want a hammered texture . If not, a regular hammer is fine. (Harbor Freight or any hardware store)

Fine steel wool (Harbor Freight or any hardware store)

1. Use the sharpie to map out your letters. Since I went along the curve of the disc, centering really wasnt a concern of mine since I could just punch the final hole over whatever wound up being the center. But if you want to stamp in a line, use a Sharpie to mark your dots.

2. Place the steel block on top of the rubber block. The steel block will ensure that the full force of the hammer transfers to the disc. The rubber block absorbs force so that your table or bench doesnt knock around.

3. Take note of the orientation of your letter, place is down on the stamp, and give it a whack with your hammer. Use the flat side of your ball pein hammer for this.

3. After all letters a stamped, rub sharpie across the letters and then remove excess with the steel wool. This is to check the impression. If you need to make another pass, carefully place the stamp in the already created grooves and give the disc another whack.

4. If you want to give your discs some hammered texture, do so now with the rounded end of your ball pein hammer. Use the steel and rubber block again.

5. At this point, you will want to punch your holes. Mark the hole with a Sharpie and punch. If you find the disc hole puncher is leaving a ring behind, place a rag between the disc and the tool only at this point to prevent this. However, dont put anything between the actual pin that pierces the disc and the disc itself.

6. Once holes are punched, use the doming tool to lightly dome your discs, if so desired. Start with the biggest dome first and work your way to the desired angle. Be gentle, working around the outside of the disc to the center. Dont start at the center as this will cause buckling.

7. Do a final pass with the steel wool to clean any remaining Sharpie and youre good to go! Depending on the metal you chose, these may need to be lightly buffed and the details may need to be re-filled with Sharpie every so often. We do this at bath time since the collars are already off.

P.S I wanted to show you my sexy little ladies with their new bling, but they would not sit still! Such energetic dogs

Create a Differentiating Brand Experience with Domed Labels

Domed Labels are known by many names

Doming or domed labels have many names doming tags, domed badges, 3D labels and two step epoxy resin coated decals are just a few ways these durable labels are described.

SCN has been producingdomed labelsfor over 15 years now.  We have remained a leader in the technology and can demonstrate capabilities across many specialty needs like doming on aluminum nameplates, domed labels with injection molded inserts, laser etched domed labels and many more options.

Pick a substrate; pressure sensitive labels, aluminum,  polyester, vinyl, metal and apply a poly resin coating to the labels top and you have a robust 3D label that resists scratching, peeling and fading.

In a hurry for your shipment?  Our UV curing process shortens the 8-12 hours it typically takes for the polyurethane resin to cure down to 2-3 hours.

Branding and identifying your product with a label is an opportunity to create a memorable impression.  Adding unique features to your label or nameplate like inserts, tactile options, creative shapes and perhaps unexpected substrates makes for a durable and unforgettable product.  Isnt this the ideal effect to capture attention?

Senior Project Manager, James Havill recalls one his project favorites that used the doming equipment to produce a label, not for brand recognition but to add to equipment functionality.

A client contacted me with a unique doming applications request. They manufacture camera systems for law enforcement vehicles. Their challenge was to give their interior camera control panel a tactical feel.

Law enforcement does not want their interiors lit, which deters from their vision of the exterior environment at night. Having an interior light also makes them more visible and outs them in danger during a traffic stop.

Their equipment panel had arrows for zoom in and out, along with pan left and right arrows.

Our solution was to dome the arrows to allow the control buttons to be felt in the dark or without looking at the control panel even during the day.

The manufacturer gained the market edge without changing their overall design. The domed button option was much less expensive than formed silicon buttons and allowed them to utilize their proximity sensors through the domed areas. Between the reduced piece price and no extra tooling, it was a homerun for them.

Our sales and project management staff are ready for your inquiries and challenges.  We are looking forward to making your labeling, branding or project experience another SCN homerun

Martin G Dominger DDS – Oral Surgeon – FAQs

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions patients have about dentistry and oral health issues. If you have any other questions, or would like to schedule an appointment, we would love to hear from you.

Click on a question below to see the answer.

Bad breath (halitosis) can be an unpleasant and embarrassing condition. Many of us may not realize that we have bad breath, but everyone has it from time to time, especially in the morning.

There are various reasons one may have bad breath, but in healthy people, the major reason is due to microbial deposits on the tongue, especially the back of the tongue. Some studies have shown that simply brushing the tongue reduced bad breath by as much as 70 percent.

Saliva flow almost stops during sleep and its reduced cleansing action allows bacteria to grow, causing bad breath.

Garlic, onions, etc. Foods containing odor-causing compounds enter the blood stream; they are transferred to the lungs, where they are exhaled.

Food particles remaining in the mouth promote bacterial growth.

Colonies of bacteria and food debris residing under inflamed gums.

Dental cavities and improperly fitted dental appliances

May also contribute to bad breath.

May be caused by certain medications, salivary gland problems, or continuous mouth breathing.

Dry the mouth, causing bad breath.

Certain chemicals called ketones are released in the breath as the body burns fat.

Dehydration, hunger, and missed meals

Drinking water and chewing food increases saliva flow and washes bacteria away.

Certain medical conditions and illnesses

Diabetes, liver and kidney problems, chronic sinus infections, bronchitis, and pneumonia are several conditions that may contribute to bad breath.

Keeping a record of what you eat may help identify the cause of bad breath. Also, review your current medications, recent surgeries, or illnesses with you dentist.

What can I do to prevent bad breath?

Brush at least twice a day with an ADA approved fluoride toothpaste and toothbrush. Floss daily to remove food debris and plaque from in between the teeth and under the gumline. Brush or use a tongue scraper to clean the tongue and reach the back areas. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months. If you wear dentures or removable bridges, clean them thoroughly and place them back in your mouth in the morning.

Get a check-up and cleaning at least twice a year. If you have or have had periodontal disease, your dentist will recommend more frequent visits.

Ask your dentist what they recommend to help break the habit.

Water will help keep your mouth moist and wash away bacteria.

Some over-the-counter products only provide a temporary solution to mask unpleasant mouth odor. Ask your dentist about

that not only alleviate bad breath, but also kill the germs that cause the problem.

In most cases, your dentist can treat the cause of bad breath. If it is determined that your mouth is healthy, but bad breath is persistent, your dentist may refer you to your physician to determine the cause of the odor and an appropriate treatment plan.

Brushing and flossing help control the plaque and bacteria that cause dental disease.

Plaque is a film of food debris, bacteria, and saliva that sticks to the teeth and gums. The bacteria in plaque convert certain food particles into acids that cause tooth decay. Also, if plaque is not removed, it turns into calculus (tartar). If plaque and calculus are not removed, they begin to destroy the gums and bone, causing periodontal (gum) disease.

Plaque formation and growth is continuous and can only be controlled by regular brushing, flossing, and the use of other dental aids.

Toothbrushing Brush your teethat least twice a day(especially before going to bed at night) with an ADA approved soft bristle brush and toothpaste.

Brush at a 45 degree angle to the gums, gently using a small, circular motion, ensuring that you

Brush the outer, inner, and biting surfaces of each tooth.

Use the tip of the brush head to clean the inside front teeth.

Brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen your breath.

Electric toothbrushes are also recommended. They are easy to use and can remove plaque efficiently. Simply place the bristles of the electric brush on your gums and teeth and allow the brush to do its job, several teeth at a time.

FlossingDaily flossingis the best way to clean between the teeth and under the gumline. Flossing not only helps clean these spaces, it disrupts plaque colonies from building up, preventing damage to the gums, teeth, and bone.

Take 12-16 inches (30-40cm) of dental floss and wrap it around your middle fingers, leaving about 2 inches (5cm) of floss between the hands.

Using your thumbs and forefingers to guide the floss, gently insert the floss between teeth using a sawing motion.

Curve the floss into a C shape around each tooth and under the gumline. Gently move the floss up and down, cleaning the side of each tooth.

Floss holders are recommended if you have difficulty using conventional floss.

Rinsing It is important to rinse your mouth with water after brushing, and also after meals if you are unable to brush. If you are using an over-the-counter product for rinsing, its a good idea to consult with your dentist or dental hygienist on its appropriateness for you.

Over the years there has been some concern as to the safety of amalgam (silver) fillings. An amalgam is a blend of copper, silver, tin and zinc, bound by elemental mercury. Dentists have used this blended metal to fill teeth for more than 100 years. The controversy is due to claims that the exposure to the vapor and minute particles from the mercury can cause a variety of health problems.

According to the American Dental Association (ADA), up to 76% of dentists use silver containing mercury to fill teeth. The ADA also states that silver fillings are safe and that studies have failed to find any link between silver containing mercury and any medical disorder.

The general consensus is that amalgam (silver) fillings are safe. Along with the ADAs position, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization, the FDA, and others support the use of silver fillings as safe, durable, and cost effective. The U.S. Public Health Service says that the only reason not to use silver fillings is when a patient has an allergy to any component of this type of filling. The ADA has had fewer than 100 reported incidents of an allergy to components of silver fillings, and this is out of countless millions of silver fillings over the decades.

Although studies indicate that there are no measurable health risks to patients who have silver fillings, we do know that mercury is a toxic material when we are exposed at high, unsafe levels. For instance, we have been warned to limit the consumption of certain types of fish that carry high levels of mercury in them. However, with respect to amalgam fillings, the ADA maintains that when the mercury combines with the other components of the filling, it becomes an inactive substance that is safe.

There are numerous options to silver fillings, including composite (tooth-colored), porcelain, and gold fillings. We encourage you to discuss these options with your dentist so you can determine which is the best option for you.

You should have your teeth checked and cleanedat least twice a year, though your dentist or dental hygienist may recommend more frequent visits.

Regular dental exams and cleaning visits are essential in preventing dental problems and maintaining the health of your teeth and gums. At these visits, your teeth are cleaned and checked for cavities. Additionally, there are many other things that are checked and monitored to help detect, prevent, and maintain your dental health. These include:

Knowing the status of any current medical conditions, new medications, and illnesses, gives us insight to your overall health and also your dental health.

Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs):

Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions.

Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

Check the gums and bone around the teeth for any signs of periodontal disease.

All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay with special dental instruments.

Examination of existing restorations:

Check current fillings, crowns, etc.

Calculus is hardened plaque that has been left on the tooth for sometime and is now firmly attached to the tooth surface. Calculus forms above and below the gum line, and can only be removed with special dental instruments.

Plaque is a sticky, almost invisible film that forms on the teeth. It is a growing colony of living bacteria, food debris, and saliva. The bacteria produce toxins (poisons) that inflame the gums. This inflammation is the start of periodontal disease!

Removes stain and plaque that is not otherwise removed during toothbrushing and scaling.

Review and recommend oral hygiene aids as needed (electric dental toothbrushes, special cleaning aids, fluorides, rinses, etc.).

Your eating habits play a very important role in your dental health.

As you can see, a good dental exam and cleaning involves quite a lot more than just checking for cavities and polishing your teeth. We are committed to providing you with the best possible care, and to do so will require regular check-ups and cleanings.

Four out of five people have periodontal disease and dont know it! Most people are not aware of it because the disease is usually painless in the early stages. Unlike tooth decay, which often causes discomfort, it is possible to have periodontal disease without noticeable symptoms. Having regular dental check-ups and periodontal examinations are very important and will help detect if periodontal problems exist.

Periodontal disease begins when plaque, a sticky, colorless, film of bacteria, food debris, and saliva, is left on the teeth and gums. The bacteria produce toxins (acids) that inflame the gums and slowly destroy the bone. Brushing and flossing regularly and properly will ensure that plaque is not left behind to do its damage.

Other than poor oral hygiene, there are several other factors that may increase the risk of developing periodontal disease:

Tobacco users are more likely than nonusers to form plaque and tartar on their teeth.

Certain tooth or appliance conditions

Bridges that no longer fit properly, crowded teeth, or defective fillings that may trap plaque and bacteria.

Steroids, cancer therapy drugs, blood pressure meds, oral contraceptives. Some medications have side affects that reduce saliva, making the mouth dry and plaque easier to adhere to the teeth and gums.

Pregnancy, oral contraceptives, and puberty

Can cause changes in hormone levels, causing gum tissue to become more sensitive to bacteria toxins.

Diabetes, blood cell disorders, HIV / AIDS, etc.

Some patients may be predisposed to a more aggressive type of periodontitis. Patients with a family history of tooth loss should pay particular attention to their gums.

Signs and Symptoms of Periodontal Disease

Gums should never be red or swollen.

Gums should never bleed, even when you brush vigorously or use dental floss.

Also caused by bone loss or weakened periodontal fibers (fibers that support the tooth to the bone).

Sign that there is an infection present.

Plaque, calculus, and bacteria irritate the gums and teeth.

Good oral hygiene, a balanced diet, and regular dental visits can help reduce your risk of developing periodontal disease.

Brushing our teeth removes food particles, plaque, and bacteria from all tooth surfaces, exceptin between the teeth. Unfortunately, our toothbrush cant reach these areas that are highly susceptible to decay and periodontal (gum) disease.

Daily flossing is the best way to clean between the teeth and under the gumline. Flossing not only helps clean these spaces, it disrupts plaque colonies from building up, preventing damage to the gums, teeth, and bone.

Plaque is a sticky, almost invisible film that forms on the teeth. It is a growing colony of living bacteria, food debris, and saliva. The bacteria produce toxins (acids) that cause cavities and irritate and inflame the gums. Also, when plaque is not removed above and below the gumline, it hardens and turns into calculus (tartar). This will further irritate and inflame the gums and also slowly destroy the bone. This is the beginning of periodontal disease.

Daily flossing will help you keep a healthy, beautiful smile for life!

If youre feeling somewhat self-conscious about your teeth, or just want to improve your smile, cosmetic dental treatments may be the answer to a more beautiful, confident smile.

Cosmetic dentistry has become very popular in the last several years, not only due to the many advances in cosmetic dental procedures and materials available today, but also because patients are becoming more and more focused on improving their overall health. This includes dental prevention and having a healthier, whiter, more radiant smile.

There are many cosmetic dental procedures available to improve your teeth and enhance your smile. Depending on your particular needs, cosmetic dental treatments can change your smile dramatically, from restoring a single tooth to having a full mouth make-over. Ask your dentist how you can improve the health and beauty of your smile with cosmetic dentistry.

Teeth Whitening:Bleaching lightens teeth that have been stained or discolored by age, food, drink, and smoking. Teeth darkened as a result of injury or taking certain medications can also be bleached, but the effectiveness depends on the degree of staining present.

Composite (tooth-colored) Fillings:Also known as bonding, composite fillings are now widely used instead of amalgam (silver) fillings to repair teeth with cavities, and also to replace old defective fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are also used to repair chipped, broken, or discolored teeth. This type of filling is also very useful to fill in gaps and to protect sensitive, exposed root surfaces caused by gum recession.

Porcelain Veneers:Veneers are thin custom-made, tooth-colored shells that are bonded onto the fronts of teeth to create a beautiful individual smile. They can help restore or camouflage damaged, discolored, poorly shaped, or misaligned teeth. Unlike crowns, veneers require minimal tooth structure to be removed from the surface of the tooth.

Porcelain Crowns (caps):Acrown is a tooth-colored, custom-made covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size. Crowns protect and strengthen teeth that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations. They are ideal for teeth that have large, fractured or broken fillings and also for those that are badly decayed.

Dental Implants:Dental implants are artificial roots that are surgically placed into the jaw to replace one or more missing teeth. Porcelain crowns, bridges, and dentures can be made specifically to fit and attach to implants, giving a patient a strong, stable, and durable solution to removable dental appliances.

Orthodontics:Less visible and more effective brackets and wires are making straightening teeth with orthodontics much more appealing to adult patients. Also, in some cases, teeth may be straightened with custom-made, clear, removable aligners that require no braces.

Thanks to the advances in modern dentistry, cosmetic treatments can make a difference in making your smile shine!

Porcelain veneers are very thin shells of tooth-shaped porcelain that are individually crafted to cover the fronts of teeth. They are very durable and will not stain, making them a very popular solution for those seeking to restore or enhance the beauty of their smile.

Veneers may be used to restore or correct the following dental conditions:

Getting veneers usually requires two visits. Veneers are created from an impression (mold) of your teeth that is then sent to a professional dental laboratory where each veneer is custom-made (for shape and color) for your individual smile.

With little or no anesthesia, teeth are prepared by lightly buffing and shaping the front surface of the teeth to allow for the small thickness of veneers. The veneers are carefully fitted and bonded onto the tooth surface with special bonding cements and occasionally a specialized light may be used to harden and set the bond.

Veneers are an excellent dental treatment that can dramatically improve your teeth and give you a natural, beautiful smile.

Since teeth whitening has now become thenumber oneaesthetic concern of many patients, there are many products and methods available to achieve a brighter smile.

Professional teeth whitening (or bleaching) is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment used to change the color of natural tooth enamel, and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. Over-the-counter products are also available, but they are much less effective than professional treatments and may not be approved by the American Dental Association (ADA).

As we age, the outer layer of tooth enamel wears away, eventually revealing a darker or yellow shade. The color of our teeth also comes from the inside of the tooth, which may become darker over time. Smoking, drinking coffee, tea, and wine may also contribute to tooth discoloration, making our teeth yellow and dull. Sometimes, teeth can become discolored from taking certain medications as a child, such as tetracycline. Excessive fluoridation (fluorosis) during tooth development can also cause teeth to become discolored.

Its important to have your teeth evaluated by your dentist to determine if youre a good candidate for bleaching. Occasionally, tetracycline and fluorosis stains are difficult to bleach and your dentist may offer other options, such as veneers or crowns to cover up such stains. Since teeth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is also important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. before bleaching begins. Once the bleaching is done, your dentist can match the new restorations to the shade of the newly whitened teeth.

Since teeth whitening is not permanent, a touch-up may be needed every several years to keep your smile looking bright.

The most widely used professional teeth whitening systems:

Home teeth whitening systems:At-home products usually come in a gel form that is placed in a custom-fitted mouthguard (tray), created from a mold of your teeth. The trays are worn either twice a day for approximately 30 minutes, or overnight while you sleep. It usually takes several weeks to achieve the desired results depending on the degree of staining and the desired level of whitening.

In office teeth whitening:This treatment is done in the dental office and you will see results immediately. It may require more than one visit, with each visit lasting 30 to 60 minutes. While your gums are protected, a bleaching solution is applied to the teeth. A special light may be used to enhance the action of the agent while the teeth are whitened.

Some patients may experience tooth sensitivity after having their teeth whitened. This sensation is temporary and subsides shortly after you complete the bleaching process, usually within a few days to one week.
